New Years Eve Bash at The Camelot

Join us in Palm Springs for A Very Sordid New Year’s Eve at the Camelot Theatres!  We’ll kick it off with a Sordid-style fried chicken dinner in front of the Camelot.  Then we’ll move in to the theater for a variety show featuring music and comedy from A Very Sordid Wedding stars Emerson Collins, Rosemary Alexander, Newell Alexander, Blake McIver and hosted by Ann Walker and Del Shores.  It will also include a costume contest!!  Then we’ll screen A Very Sordid Wedding and end the evening with a champagne toast to kick 2018 off in Sordid style!! Special Screening of The Sound of Music

On Dec 8th, the Palm Springs Cultural Center presents a special one night screening of The Sound Of Music, hosted by The Filmmakers Gallery, on the big screen at the Camelot Theatres! In attendance will be special guest speaker Kym Karath, who played Gretl Von Trapp. There will be a limited VIP meet and greet with Kym at 5 pm in the upstairs lounge followed by a discussion with Kym on stage at 6:30 pm. The show starts at 7pm. With the purchase of a VIP ticket will be included a special gift bag filled with surprizes and with the purchase of every ticket will be included a raffle ticket for prizes to be given out prior to the screening. All proceeds will benefit the Aurelia Foundation (co-founded by Kym) and the Palm Springs Cultural Center, both 501(c)(3) organizations.

Introducing Palm Springs Speaks –  a new three-event Speaker Series presented in the west end of the Coachella Valley by the Palm Springs Cultural Center and the Friends of the Palm Springs Public Library.

Tickets can either be purchased either as the SERIES (best value) or for each INDIVIDUAL event, and as a VIP package or General Admission.

Among Friends Presents Flash Gordon 10/25

The Palm Springs Cultural Center invites you to experience the premiere of a new monthly PS Community Theatre Program hosted by the community group, Among Friends for a fun, blast-from-the-past, interactive movie-going experience on Wed, October 25th, 8:00 p.m. at the Camelot Theatres in Palm Springs. This is the first film in a monthly PS Community Theatre program. The film featured for the month of October is FLASH GORDON (1980).

FLASH GORDON is an interactive movie going experience. The audience is encouraged to join in, sing, cheer, and laugh as well as dress up and bring props. A full cash bar will be available in the back of the theatre. There will be t-shirt giveaways, buttons, and other items as well as a prize for best costume. Advance tickets will be available the week of the show. General admission is $11 and $7 for seniors. All proceeds from the event go back to the Palm Springs Cultural Center to support community programming.

Reel Women’s Film Festival 2017

Join us for an inspiring day of films to help raise funds for Planned Parenthood’s breast health programs and enjoy diverse films about women. This year’s newly expanded two-day event includes a diverse range of films from the Philippines, Netherlands, India, and USA, beginning on Saturday, October 28, for the opening film and Champagne reception, followed by the full-day festival on Sunday, October 29.
